The Procurement Partner plays a vital role as the designated procurement support resource for nominated court jurisdictions, operating within a business partnering model. Their primary responsibility is to provide specialized advice and support across the division, ensuring consistency in all procurement activities. This encompasses leading or assisting in the sourcing process, developing procurement plans, and identifying cost savings and operational efficiencies, all while adhering to the principles of the business partnering model.

The Opportunity

  • Mentor and coach employees on procurement policies, practices, and processes for compliance, value for money, and contract fulfilment.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships through a business partnering approach to procurement.
  • Review procurement spend data and develop future in monthly stakeholder meetings.
  • Utilise effective influencing and negotiation skills to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and support for compliance with, Victorian Government policies, legislation, and industry best practices.

About You

  • Proven track record of delivering value for money in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving commercial outcomes through end-to-end procurement management.
  • Proficient in contract management systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of excellence. Drive operational efficiencies and achieve financial savings targets through strategic procurement planning and end-to-end sourcing management.
  • Lead or support key procurement activities such as specifications development, tender evaluations, negotiations, and contract handover.
  • Provide support to stakeholders in utilising the Source to Contract system and actively contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a forward procurement plan for clear visibility into category initiatives and their progress.
  • Offer expert advice and support to the Chief Procurement Officer, Head of Sourcing, and the Procurement Board as needed.
